COMPETITION!

Design a Leeds Recycling Superhero

This year's Recycle Week (14-20 October 2024) theme is Rescue Me - Recycle! It's all about saving our recyclables - like Fitz the perfume bottle, Hube the toilet roll tube, Rey the plastic trigger spray bottle, Yogi the yoghurt pot and Dee Dee the deodorant - from the general waste bin and giving them a new life by recycling them in your green bin.

To make recycling fun, we’re running “Design a Leeds Recycling Superhero” competition for primary school aged children (ages 4-11), with fantastic cash prizes for schools up for grabs, sponsored by HW Martin ltd.

To enter:

  • Either download the entry form, pick up a copy from your local Leeds library or just use a blank piece of paper!

  • Design your superhero using your pens, pencils or crayons and imagination!

  • Submit a photo of your masterpiece to rescueme@leeds.gov.uk by midnight on Sunday 3 November 2024

For design inspiration and recycling info, visit www.leeds.gov.uk/greenbin

Good luck, young eco-warriors! We can’t wait to see your amazing designs!
